Capital City Grange shares the mission of the National and Vermont State Granges to provide opportunities for all to be part of a community organization, striving to improve life in rural communities. At Capital City Grange, our special focus is on providing a convenient, affordable, and comfortable community hall that can serve as a meeting place for organizations, families, and individuals. Completely run by volunteers who care about the community in which they live, Capital City Grange welcomes everyone who wants to improve the quality of life in Central Vermont.
Capital City Grange is working with Just Food Hub to raise funds for projects and encourages members, sponsors, users, and families to visit Just Food Hub for regular food shopping. From every purchase, 25% of sales goes to Capital City Grange to maintain this valuable site for our local community groups and population.
Just Food Hub
We are raising awareness in our local communities about real organic and fair-traded food, worker coops, and corporate consolidation in the food system. Our products include high-quality and affordable artisan food like coffee, chocolate, tea, cheese, and hot sauce from cooperative farms in the Global South and small US organic farms.
Just Food Hub’s mission is to offer community groups, like the Capital City Grange, a regular fundraiser for their valuable work in our communities. We do this by selling these wonderful foods online and giving the profits to the community group. Capital City Grange receives 25% of all purchases when you click Capital City Grange at checkout. We offer free delivery of your purchases in 18 towns including Barre, East Montpelier, Marshfield, Montpelier, and Plainfield and can ship them elsewhere for a $10 charge. We can also deliver to the Grange hall during Grange meetings and potluck dinners.
Just Food Hub collaborates with Equal Exchange, a worker coop that develops a noncapitalist people-centered food system that brings food justice and integrity to the US family table. Equal Exchange endorses organic and sustainable farming practices and democratic and worker-owned farming cooperatives throughout the Global South, Palestine, and the United States.
