Helping people heal from harm and ending violence in our community
Mosaic Vermont has dedicated 40 years to supporting survivors of sexual violence in Washington County, Vermont. Our mission is to heal communities and end sexual violence. We envision a world with resilient communities, free of gender-based violence, where everyone is supported in their healing journey. At Mosaic, equity and justice are at the forefront of our work, and we have received international recognition for our efforts to serve those historically excluded from sexual and domestic violence response services. Our team of skilled advocates offers approachable, intersectional, and person-centered support.
We provide a range of services to those who have experienced harm, including a 24/7 helpline, Sexual Assault Nurse Exams (SANE) support, creative healing opportunities, support with traditional justice-related systems, and connections to additional resources both within and beyond Washington County. Additionally, we engage in greater violence prevention work within schools and in our broader community.
Just Food Hub
We are raising awareness in our local communities about real organic and fair-traded food, worker coops, and corporate consolidation in the food system. Our products include high-quality and affordable artisan food like coffee, chocolate, tea, cheese, and hot sauce from cooperative farms in the Global South and small US organic farms.
Just Food Hub’s mission is to offer community groups, like Mosaic, a regular fundraiser for their valuable work in our communities. We do this by selling these wonderful foods online and giving the profits to the community group. Mosaic will receive 25% of all purchases when you click Mosaic at checkout. We offer free delivery of your purchases in 18 towns including Barre, East Montpelier, Marshfield, Montpelier, and Plainfield and can ship elsewhere for a $10 charge.
Just Food Hub collaborates with Equal Exchange, a worker coop that develops a noncapitalist people-centered food system that brings food justice and integrity to the US family table. Equal Exchange endorses organic and sustainable farming practices and democratic and worker-owned farming cooperatives throughout the Global South, Palestine, and the United States.
