North End Food Pantry

Fundraiser:

Help Us Care for the Community!

North End Food Pantry is an all-volunteer run 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Burlington, Vermont. We provide free food, personal care items, and clothing every Saturday & Sunday, serving over 500 people per month. All are welcome; there are no barriers to access our programs.

In America, hunger is often hidden. The child sitting next to your child in school may have gone without food over the weekend. The senior you see in your neighborhood may be worrying about having enough food to make it to their next social security check. Without our help, people will go hungry and suffer needlessly. We hope that offering a place where people can come when their finances are down can prevent anyone from going hungry. We help with necessities like diapers, wipes, menstrual care products, and clothing, so families don’t have to compromise their well being or dignity. We are also here to provide a friendly smile and encouragement. It’s easy to feel alone when dealing with financial hardship. We value and respect people as members of our community. This is why we are here.

Just Food Hub

We are raising awareness in our local communities about real organic and fair-traded food, worker coops, and corporate consolidation in the food system. Our products include high-quality and affordable artisan food like coffee, chocolate, tea, and hot sauce from cooperative farms in the Global South and small US organic farms.

Just Food Hub’s mission is to offer community groups, like North End Food Pantry, a regular fundraiser for their valuable work in our communities. We do this by selling these wonderful foods online and giving the profits to the community group. North End Food Pantry receives 25% of all purchases when you click North End Food Pantry at checkout. We offer free delivery of your purchases in 18 towns including Barre, East Montpelier, Marshfield, Montpelier, and Plainfield and can ship them elsewhere for a $10 charge. We can also arrange to meet you elsewhere.

Just Food Hub collaborates with Equal Exchange, a worker coop developing a noncapitalist people-centered food system that brings food justice and integrity to the US family table. Equal Exchange promotes organic and sustainable farming practices and democratic and worker-owned farming cooperatives throughout the Global South, Palestine, and the United States.

In addition to helping you eat well and building strong local economies and community groups, we are working to address the climate crisis and food insecurity. Join us and be the change you want to see in the world.

Orders of $75 or more will come with a free natural cotton shopping bag.
