The Mud Studio is Central Vermont’s Community Clay Studio.
The Mud Studio is a full-service pottery studio and gallery. We offer classes for adults, teens, and children. We have rental space and gallery space for artists and crafts people working in clay.
The studio offers all types of clay work to studio equipment and teaching expertise from throwing clay pots to slab building, with sculpture know how to creative projects with clay. Our studio is fully equipped with professional tools including two large kilns—one gas and one electric—and a wide selection of clay bodies and glazes. We have classroom space and private artist rental space for your clay-making needs.
The Mud Studio is the community hub of clay arts for Central Vermont. We value the creative and professional clay workers’ contribution to our community’s needs for kitchenware, fashion accessories, garden ornaments, artistic exploration, and more. Our studio is a creative, inclusive, and ideal learning and making environment for all. Our gallery showcases the incredible art work and functional items our members make and sell.
We are delighted to partner with the community fundraising group Just Food Hub; all sales provide 25% funds raised for The Mud Studio. We encourage Mud Studio members and supporters to purchase regularly through Just Food Hub. Purchases help the environment, help small farmers, and provide real organic food to your family, keeping Vermont strong.
Just Food Hub
We are raising awareness in our local communities about real organic and fair-traded food, worker coops, and corporate consolidation in the food system. Our products include high-quality and affordable artisan food like coffee, chocolate, tea, cheese, and hot sauce from cooperative farms in the Global South and small US organic farms.
Just Food Hub’s mission is to offer community groups, like the Mud Studio, a regular fundraiser for their valuable work in our communities. We do this by selling these wonderful foods online and giving the profits to the community group. The Mud Studio receives 25% of all purchases when you click Mud Studio at checkout. We offer free delivery of your purchases in 18 towns including Barre, East Montpelier, Marshfield, Montpelier, and Plainfield and can ship them elsewhere for a $10 charge.
Just Food Hub collaborates with Equal Exchange, a worker coop that develops a noncapitalist people-centered food system that brings food justice and integrity to the US family table. Equal Exchange endorses organic and sustainable farming practices and democratic and worker-owned farming cooperatives throughout the Global South, Palestine, and the United States.
